You must have sold it locally, b/c I thought I saw it as UNSOLD on ebay.

Correct. I had it for sale locally as well. I am very happy with the new owner as this bike was on his bucket list of bikes he wanted to own in his lifetime. He knew everything about the bike along with all of the options that I had on it. He was thrilled with it and I know it went to a good home. I am still a little surprised with the interest it generated and how fast it sold. Maybe I should have asked more for it?

Congrats on the sale (I guess its congrats? its like a divorce - is that good or bad?). I love my 2000 yellow, but always said if I was going to get a newer VFR, yours is (was) exactly the way I'd want it.

Anyway, good luck with your new purchase. I certainly understand your position based on your wife's needs. My wife hates motorcycles. Wants nothing to do with them. Wished I didn't have one. Only once did she ever even sit on my bike - engine off, on the stand. She got off and said "I don't like it" and walked away.

That being said, I did mange to get her on a Gold Wing once. Talk about a change of heart! She loved it. Comfy, secure. Was impressed by all the gadgetry. And was absolutely willing to go tour the country on it (until it rains of course).

So that is something that we will give consideration too in the near future.

    Good luck!

My wife used to ride the VFR, but was extremely uncomfortable and hates the 2-wheel sensation. She's more tolerant of the Gold Wing, but really loves the Spyder - for the obvious reasons - from a passenger perspective. Before our last kids (twins) were born, we were avid snowmobilers - so she loves to ride and she misses it. She really wants to tour, but not on the VFR. She also rides dirt bikes with the kids and over many years, we've attended numerous Supercross and Outdoor National races. It's because of this and her interest in general, that I might let her make the call on this one. I'm thinking of it as a payback.

That thing is pretty cool. I've never seen one before. Unlike a conventional trike or Spyder, it leans through the turns. I think that down the road, the Spyder will have that technology, but it hasn't evolved there yet. No matter how cool it is, it is more car like, than bike, so it would not be an option - even if I knew where to get one. Thanks for posting though.

That company tried to get those in the US a few yrs ago, for whatever reason couldn't. If i remember correctly their HQ was going to be in N.H. Interesting Honda connection: the mirrors are off a CBR1100XX.

Sorry to hear your parting ways with your VFR.
