Yesterday I went to The Sonic in Garland for biker's night and look what I found over there
This is the second 5th Gen I've seen so far, I'm glad I was not the only VFR out there. :vtr2: :whoo:

I am always on the lookout for another VFR. Just this past Sunday, I was filling mine up with gas on Highway 20 in Fonthill and looking around. I spotted some bikes at the Tim Hortons kitty corner to where I was and, sure enough, saw the front end of a red VFR. As soon as I filled up, I just had to ride over and introduce myself. I have to be honest, I can't remember the gentleman's name but it was a red 94. (too excited that I found another brother)! Maybe he is on this site?
I hope to see more, especially with the Port Dover trip on Friday, June 13 this year!

    Like everyone else it seems...
I too get a warm fuzzy feeling upon see a fellow VFR cruise by or see one parked when I'm out.

But to my disappointment, I have never ran across another VFR while riding mine!!!! :(
I await the day when I pull up next to another white '93 at a traffic light.
Then again, maybe I dont want that (makes me feel like I have the ONLY one)
Beats seeing your bike 20 times in one day because every other Sqid has your bike too!

Last fall, after I just got my 86 VFR700F RWB, I was driving to a friends and saw an NC30 VFR400R..... bout shit myself... SO pretty.... I wanted to turn around and talk to him, just look at it.

    I've seen 4 VFR700/750's, one 1998 VFR, and 2 VFR500's. Thats what I could recognize.

Thanks for all of the replies! I feel kinda lucky having seen the ones I have seen. Of course, today as I rode to work I hardly saw any bikes at all, let alone VFR's.

And MikeyM, I almost hate when you mention MR2's because I lust after the second generation SO MUCH. Maybe someday...

(Oh no...I said "lust" and that means ELF will have another go...)

LOL thinking the same thing. As of late there's a 92 black VFR that has been going by my place like every other day. I'll catch em going here, there, every where, but never in a good spot to flag em down, was thinking of throwing it up on here in hopes they do visit. I mean how can a VFR owner turn down this site

    Pearl:

When I lived in Maryland and had the 93 I used to see another pearl white one on Route 5 heading south just outside of Waldorf. They were always going south and I was always going north! We would wave like crazy at each other LOL! I never met the rider.

In Delaware a fellow RiderCoach has an 05, but I 've only seen another 6th gen and it was on RT 13 heading torward Dover. I was in my truck.

I like seeing and talking to other VFR owners. We obviously share a passion for the machine. My favorite though is the seroius sport bike/ track day riders who come up to the VFR and look at it then a big smile comes across their face and they praise the bike for what it is, they know its heritage and give it it props. Thats nice:biggrin:

we must be wierd down here , i see VFrs just about evry other day. we have alot of import NC 30's on the road as well as a strong following for all the gen 1 to 6 VFR's.
its probably the ideal bike for NZ as we tend to have more corners than average for a given piece of road, mostly due to the undulating nature of local terrain.
when i see one the same as mine (gen 6) i like to do a quick check to see what mods are on it, whether i like them, especially zorsts. im still undecided on whether to change mine?

HSTA has a number of members on Viffers.
A friend actually traded in his '03 for an FJR, and then bought it back from the dealer. I has that effect on you.

I've seen a couple in Delaware when I head up rte 82.

Another night at the Canton, Georgia Hooters Bike Night!
There was a Sweet RC51 there, but I couldn't find the rider! There was probably close to 300 bikes there, mostly Harleys. Several sport riders stopped by to admire the white 06, but no other VFR's there tonight.
Most 'Southeasteners' don't appreciate what a great all around bike the Viffer is! There was a couple with a brand new CBR1000RR that really liked the look, and sound of my VFR. The young lady wasn't too fond of the riding stance of her guys CBR.
    Still looking,
    GeorgiaRider

I have someone at work (Australia, ACT) with the next generation up from mine, got a chance to park next to it, with the hope of bumping into the owner. Unfortunately I had to leave work early, but they looked great side by side. Not to worry, maybe next week.

I can't remember the last time I saw a VFR on the street...its been a while. They are a bit rarer to see.

It is neat to see that I am not alone in the thrill of seeing them...and interesting to hear that they do seem fairly rare in many places. Thanks for all the feedback!
For me, when that red 07 (just like mine) came by just as Robert Fripp was wailing on his guitar on the CD was so cool. I couldn't have sequenced it better!

OK. So I was out scouting for the West Coaster coming up and I decided to ride through Lassen Volcanic Park. As I pull up to the gate to pay my 5 bucks, I look behind me and low and behold 4 bikes pull up. The first one is a 6th gen and the second a 5th.
Holy crap, I say to myself. I pulled over and talked to the guys for a minute and they invite me to cruise the park with them.
The 6th gen was rented out of San Fran somewhere, the 5th gen was owned by the guy from Palisades, Ca. Real nice red 98 with helibars and a 2Bros can(sounds super by the way).
They get together every year or other year for a big ride. They said the last one was in the Alps(those are in Washington, I think).
So we flogged the park(super sweet ride by the way. killer(and by that I mean possibly fatal)twisties and some neat geography). Then back towards Susanville until they turned south to continue on. I beeped and waved and rolled on home. Good day, good ride, good company.

We were headed out to Tidbinbilla (outside of Canberra), and I was telling my brother about my new bike and how much I wished I had it out there for the drive.

As we were leaving a bike just like mine pulled in. Cheers to the guy with the red 6th gen with the staintunes, now my brother knows exactly what my bike looks like. (except for the staintunes...for now)
