Here is the faux solo seat look. also got the pipes on and started the bodywork. The tail turned out to be in 4 pieces, took a lot of plastic welding.

I always am a bit sad when someone gets rid of a stock Interceptor. But at least you have an 86' model. IS looking pretty good so far! Hope you have got understanding neighbors! She's gonna be loud! Can't wait to see finished product.

Thanks guys. This 85 project was pretty rough, complete but rough. I bought it really cheap and since I wanted to do something custom (mild custom), it was the perfect candidate. Im not sure I could have gotten too excited about a stock restoration on this 85.

Im looking forward to trying it out, the bodywork is almost finished. all repaired and its all in primer now. Just a final wet sanding. After that, ill mount it all on the bike and start marking the paint lines with thin line masking tape for my painter.

Starting to layout the paint lines.
Upper half of the tank and upper fairing will be metallic blue (rothmans blue), lower part of the lower fairing will be blue, blue stripe on seat side and tail. IMG_20180416_152001.jpg

I had to/have to get a bit creative with the decals. They are from an NS400 Rothmans kit. so they dont fit the VFR perfectly without some creativity

Drilled discs would make it look far less dated IMO. However it still looks great.

Very cool. Looks like Honda might have done a Rothmans 500.

    Good job.
