Don't know if I can make the 5/4 ride. My kitchen pass may not be good for two weekends in a row.

That would be fine but it will literly only take me one minute to get there. Not much of a ride.
Right now, until I figure out the wifes plans, I'll be going over to check things out in the morning and then later in the afternoon to hook up for the ride.

I'll let you know more a little later today.

How was the bike show? the ride?

As I predicted, I got busy with Daddy duties all day today.
But I'm going for a ride tomorrow. whoohoo!

 

The show was not as good as last year. Some of the vendors did not show up and the ride was actually cancelled because the Hard Rock Cafe (Destination) had told the organizers not to come because there was not enough parking for the motorcycles.
One reason that everything fell aprat seems to be the militray issue. The person who organized it last year and was doing it this year had transferred out a few moths back and the ball was apparently dropped.
It was also a pleasure to meet two fellow VFR Riders and a huge bummer that I could not go out on a ride with them. Me, being a dumb *** had left my key in the bike two days ago and drained the battery. I had to leave it home on a charger all day. It is now ready to go for next weekend when we meet up in Bowie on Saturday.

Anyone close to DC? After a few years off, I just bought a 6th Gen and am looking for some rides (and an excuse to get out of the city). I'm tied up for the next couple of weekends (best friend is on leave from Iraq), but would love to catch up with a group and find some new roads.

 

I'm in Reston VA, not too far from DC.

 

The bike show was a bummer. What did I expect at FT Meade?
Weather was great! Meeting up with other bikers was great!
Pearl-93's shorty can sounds sweet!
Might have another rider, Tim on his Kawi 636, for next Sunday.

 

Yeah, the show left a lot to be desired
But the short ride we did have was worth the ride down to meet up w/ Chris.
Met a few others as well... overall good experience!

Now I just have to try and talk the wife into buying that second bike.
Saw two triumph's I'd love to get my hands on at the show.
