there's really no trick to it at all.

You get that thing on the dyno yet? I'm very interested to see how well you've managed to whip that thing into shape.

For a couple of guys who have so much distaste for 500s, you sure do spend a lot of time commenting on them.

Well, maybe you should hold off taking shots at Jamie until you've contributed a fraction of what he has to the gen 1 community...

Your "disappointment" regarding your VF500 experience bleeds through quite clearly. Understandable, but not uncommon with old bikes...

It is also clear that you place some portion of the blame for that experience on Jamie's inability to resolve your F2 issues. Not understandable IMO. The guy has done everything in his power to accommodate you.

Adding quotes to your sig that are meant to take shots at Jamie (without actually coming up with them yourself), and making back-handed comments like the on quoted above show your position clearly.

problem is it becomes a convoluted mess of information and difficult to sort through to find anything specific. Like almost 700 posts to find out if you've had the chance to re dyno that thing. Maybe I'm just a Nazi when it comes to organization of information. If someone posts up a question about, "what can I do for fairings on my 1st gen 500", it's kinda hard to link them to 700 posts here.

As well it should. I'm laying it on quite thick.

Untrue. My dislike of the 500 comes from the top end issues. My problems with the F2 kit have no bearing on my dislike for the 500. The bike didn't come with the kit...and it certainly makes the bike look a hell of a lot better.

The quote is in no way a shot against Jamie, but rather a salute to Squirrelman. If you read the thread the quote was taken from he was taking fire from all angles and he manged to squeeze out that little ditty. I thought it was clever and funny.

That was a joking jab at Tinker and his "angelic" use of the English Language. Ending phrases with "or some shit" is quite silly IMO. I think it's unfair you immediatley jump to that conclusion without clarification first. It is a message board afterall.

You know what is quite clear Mobtown, is your general dislike for me. The fact that you just now quickly jumped to the wrong conclusions not to mention you are always quick to respond in a very unfriendly manner to most posts I make. Yes, I make comments and jokes about the VF500 not being a great bike, but I have a right to say it, and I have experience backing it up.

My thread for that VFR750 and your comments within are dripping with disdain and your opinion that I somehow need a modern bike.

If I have issues with Jamie....that's between him and I.

If you have problems with me. Send a PM.

You are definitely right about one thing...this belongs in PM. Should I have anything further to add I will definitely take it to that forum and out of Matt's thread.

That would be awesome. I am very interested to see how your repairs and modification have affected the numbers.

Wish Dyno runs weren't so pricey. On my 750, I'm running 49states carbs and jetting with Cali' cams (.050 less lift). Over winter, I may change the cams to 49 states and hope there's some way I can dyno before and after.
