Well regardless of how it was running, you should feel a sense of achievement the next time you dyno the bike and see how much power you have restored to it.

Are you going to Dyno it once you get it all back together? Or Are you going to not have it back on the road until all your mods are complete.

I'm looking forward to seeing how well your bike has benefited from all of your maintenance and modifications.

Be sure to attach a copy of the Dyno graph with the powerband.

Could you please describe how you went about making the custom coil mounts - were these modified from something supplied in the Accel kit? Thx!

    Hey Matt....just a heads up:

I have an old "Cycle" Magazine from 1984 with a big write up about the VF500F.

There's a part in it quoting a Honda Engineer that the engine is "at its displacement limit." So going up in cc's looks like a bad idea.

However....it does go on to say that there is (was) a Racing version of the 500 engine "reportedly producing 87 horsepower at 15,000rpms" with completely different internals.

So.....not impossible. Just discouraged I guess.

    Also.....the stock 1984 VF500F Dyno'd 53hp@11,000rpm & 25.9Tq@10,500rpm at the Rear Wheel.

I should have a scanner somewhere. I'll do my best.

It's messing with the resolutions and not rendering thumbnails.

I'll try and get all the direct links up or something
