Watch out for cornering clearance issues, I almost had a bad moment with my old 700F after installing a set of Cobra F1R's - they kept the centerstand from retracting all the way, and that almost made for a bad day when it touched off in the first good left hander! :ninja:

Does it realy make that much difference, I just put a new stand on, and it weighed maybe 2 lbs. I use it all the time seeing as i'm always tinkering w/ the bike.

The stock center stand weighs a lot more than 2lb, it's more like 5-6lb. To answer you question - yes, it makes a difference!

    Look forward to the posts!

On a side note - If I could ask, why did you choose an '85 set over an '84 set for the swap?

From what you posted there invisible, it looks like the only difference is the jetting. The bore and float are the same. Matt can easily change the jets. For that matter, who can know what jets show up in a used set of carbs.

I understand that, but why did Honda make the changes that they did from 84-86?

    What were their reasons?

Why would they do something to reduce power?
