Bazza, you're going to do fine; just pick out one section at a time, deep clean as you go, rely on the Captain! On my 86 although did the "deep clean" and rebuild thing, I wish I would have payed more attention on the esthetics on the assembly stages.
It'll be fun watching you build her.
I noticed you have a crushed in Right Lower Cowl Stay (the useless factory replacement style).
I have a set of home made stand offs if you need.

Thanks, Tom....appreciate the advice and support more than you know! ;)

"I think" I read somewhere that some folks just eliminated that stay period......due to it causing so much damage to the fairing so easily, but I haven't looked at it either way to make any determination.

Seems to me a stay would be necessary though, and your improved version looks great! If those are for sale, count me in and let me know how to proceed, please.

Oh hell Bazza I don't want anything for them; I made extra thinking I would screw-up a couple!
Message me your address and I'll mail them down to you.
Mine have steel threaded studs in them that are a bit long, you'll have to trim thread length for your application.
Captain tells me the originals have aluminum threads and will hurt the frame much less in a wreck.
Either way their your problem now do with them as you wish! lol
