    Moved her inside and started the disassembly process, old shock is out so time to start looking for someone to fab up the new one.

    Shock adapter has been completed, test fitted it with no issues :glee:

    Spent the day cleaning the exhaust, took me about 3 hours with an electric drill, wire brush and sandpaper to get it to an acceptable state for painting.

    Did 5 coats of black VHT paint and baked it on the bike, looks far better than the sorry state it was in previously.

    Also fitted the shock, all worked perfectly :thumbsup:

    Now it's time to decide on the fork upgrade and what colour to paint it...

    Hi mate.
    It looks like you fitted the 929 shock as you found it with the original 15kg/mm spring/valving.
    I have it on mine and fitted a 21kg/mm spring with all the valving to suit and it is right on the money for my 74kg weight.
    The VFR is a heavier bike and has a lot more weight on the rear wheel (doesn't load the front as much) than the 929, it also has different rate linkages.
    You would be better off getting the whole thing redone to suit the bike.

    Yeah I'll be getting the suspension re adjusted once I've got the replacement forks, figured I'll just wait until I've got the full set, bike isn't going anywhere atm :p
