in the process of restoring my 87 to its original glory, i decided that even though i had the means to paint my own bike, id bite the bullet and have it done professionally. I'd have to say, the bodywork came out looking outstanding, and the work really does speak for itself. There's a shop in Arlington, Texas called Synthetic Designs. The owner, Angel, helped me fab the graphics from scratch. the graphics on the tank are a newer style (5pc) honda wing (the ones they used back in the day were 4pc, and just dont look as good IMO. the logos on the lowers are actually the borders from the stock logos off of the 2000 (i think) model viffer. i was apprehensive as to whether just the border would look good, but i sadly underestimated the people who did this for me. The logos on the tail are actually a custom one-off, using the RC51 logo as a template, and matching the font and angles. Id have to say, all of the graphics came out better than expected. The paint work was done by a paint and body (collision work mostly) shop in Arlington, tx called Clark Bros. Paint and Body. I had them use the factory paint code off of my 98 F150 (Ford JL) and another random ford silver for the graphics. Granted, the whole job was costly, but I still got out of it for well under a grand, and I couldn't be happier with the results.
