Way Cool!!! now I don't feel so bad..

 

For those new to this be forewarned there is a time lag and it will disappear once and a while due to his DSL connection with in come calls but over all it's pretty cool.

I pick Randy to be first. I think he' gonna grab life by the balls (or his own) and drive through until he gets there.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if you are right Hootch... that Randy is one amazing dude.

I have a very sore butt.
Siskiyou Summit really sucked. I was 1 C. or about 34 F. Raining like hell. And all that lava rock dust they put on the roads for traction made my bike an absolute mess. What I thought were really good waterproof gloves did not stay dry but I can't complain. Driving for hours in that sheat at 100 at times, just drove the water into every nook and cranny. But soon as I got down the south side near Mount Shasta, it warmed up really nice. Even shed the electric stuff.

Made it as far as some small town mid way between Sacramento and Stockton and had to call it a night. If I pushed it more, I probably would be too sore to rife the weekend.

Heading out probably around 08:00 from here so should get there near noon. Now, I am going for a hot bath and going to crack open that fine bottle of scotch I got at the duty free.

I appologise up front for the condition my steed will be in when I arrive. It looks discusting.

Hey all...So here are some pics of my trip so far. Pics are in rough order. Explanations will follow, as well as TC, otherbubbba, and drewl ribbing me for some of the events/delays...

 

man, sweet bikes, good times. looks like a ton of fun. too bad my bike looks haggard compared to those! have fun guys. Ill be living it up at work and School.

 

just curious as to where's the muffler on that red 5th gen with the busted up license plate?

 

The post with the pics was supposed to be from me. Didn't notice SLOVFR was logged on. The muffler you see is home mode. I have a 99 and bought a set of 01 headers, chopped off the cat, and replaced it with a muffler the same size.

According to the guys here, it sounds great! :thumbsup:

In other words, the muffler is under the bike. I'll try to get some pics soon.

VFR World Meet-SLO3

Man, what a sight! 5 VFR's all together on a sunny California spring day...at an In-N-Out no less! Thanks Drew, ToeCutter, Bweiss and Otherbubba for waiting for me so I could meet you guys and check out your bikes. I got some good video footage before I pulled off in Manteca. I know I held you up longer than you planned, and that gas station was just crazy. But, looks like you all made it to Reg's in good shape, except for Bweiss's bounced luggage and crunched license plate. But it looks like drew jerry-rigged it pretty good!

Here's another shot of the bikes at In-n-Out. I'll be keeping tabs on you all over the weekend and checking out the live feeds! Thank God for technology.

It was great to have been part of this event, even if only for a couple of hours (and my wife didn't even know I was gone)!

I sense a disturbance in the VFR force. The migration to SLOIII has begun. Keep the pics coming and have beer or three for those of us that can't be there.

 

I see it's dark in the last picture and no sign of Silversurfer or RW.......hope everybody made it ok.

 

Maybe instead of that raffle you guys can give him some freebies just for going through all that for the party. I mean, the rest of the gang are just riding a day at most through nice and shiny roads and poor Randy's gotta go through where hell is literally freezing over. :thumbsup:
