little piece of bad news. the scooter is out of the picture again. chaing broke again. I am pretty convinced that something is bent like a sprocket or shaft. tori is gonna try and help me look at it, but it's hard to say if it'll be back by the time of the BBQ. we'll have to adjust the competitions accordingly...

I never ever ever get packages in the back door. That gate is locked and the back door is kept secluded.
I love my package though. Love it.

So far the weather at the BBQ site thru Monday March 30th is clear with highs in the low 70's!! Just a few more days and the actual dates will be in the forecast!

Is anyone from the Bay Area (San Francisco, East bay, Southbay, peninsula) heading to the BBQ? I have a route planned out for only 45% slab and 55% twisties to SLO if anyone wants to join me on the 3rd of April.

still waiting on Tori to bring his superior mech skills up here to look at the scooter. It suck cause it runs great but there is an alignment issue. I don't think I can even get sprockets for this thing. I have a theory that if I had a chain guide like dirt bikes have and some type of roller like a dirtbike then I could make the chain work fine. the guide would keep it from binding then the roller would keep slight tension on it... I am not sure how to get one that small, though. the chain and sprockets are tiny...

Reg's Roadhouse Royal Roundup Righteous Rendezvous

It's been a whole two or three days, but I can't keep up with this thread or the excitement. Yesterday I jerryrigged a luggage rack to protect my back seat, cowl plastic and bodywork. It is homemade, but looks pretty darn good...(I took some heavy duty, aircraft black rubber hose, slipped it over one grab handle and looped it around to the other handle. I put some flat metal stock along the handles to keep it rigid). Really, it don't look too cheesey! I don't have the hard bags or trunk, and I sold all my old Bag Man tank bag and saddle bags. So, I plan on purchasing a tank bag for this trip and will put a small duffle on the back seat with my sleeping bag. I might break down and buy something. I was in Modesto today at Cycle Gear, the Ducati, Yamaha, Honda, BMW, Suzuki, KTM and Kawasaki dealers to see what is available. If I buy something, it will be online with overnight or next day shipping. I don't want to be like Drewl and worry that it won't come in time. Hey, what is the plan if if rains like it did today...(torrential downpour from Sacramento to Sonora-at least that's what I witnessed)? Is the ride still on regardless of weather? I can always buy a rainsuit.

    Oh Yeah, one last thing.
I'm ON like a one-eyed pitbull in butcher shop!

Wooaaah, there brother Long. Central coast is just the battle ground. Its South vs. North. Call me what you will but, If we're taking on more than just the North, we'll be HEAVILY out numbered. They won't even have to wait until we're passed out to Sharpie us... they'll just hold us down and ink us to death.:bolt::ncb::whiteflag:

Oh, BTW: My rain gear is a navy blue, wind proof, water proof, fire proof Nomex jacket with yellow and silver reflective stripes.

only 10 days... man, I still have some things to do... I have to work a whole bunch right before it happens, too. I'm gonna be ready for a break by BBQ time. Still no progress on the scooter. I think it's gonna need yet another masterlink but I dont want to build another chain just to break it again. I need to figure out where it's binding up.

One more farkle to go, UPS says it'll be here today.
