Looks awesome, I think it makes the bike look 10 years younger. I plan to paint mine next winter, but probably won't look near as good as that, I doubt I could do details like flames...

did you wet sand and buff it?
if not it, do it, it will come out alot cleaner, wont have all that orange peel in it.

Thanks again for all your great comments, unfortunately the tail section is once again n 4 pieces, next time I'll use fiberglass resin:frown:.

The new project "the 84 vf1000" is coming along smoothly, I am planning on giving it a chromed out paint job :ninja:, not too sure about how its going to look but Ill be sure to post the after picture, knowing myself I probably wont finish for a month or so, I should have the windshield done within the next 2 weeks, so I'll have a pic up by then.

For the Chrome look I will be doing a wet sand for sure, prior to the chrome paint application as it is required to get that mirror look, once i get her done, I'll repair & respray the whole vfr700, This is FUN:biggrin:.

    Thanks again guys:thumbsup:

    paint job

    Jsav,
    AWESOME!,
I think it looks great! love the scheme..
I have painted everything from sailboats to show cars& bikes.
Painting isn't rocket science. if you take care and pay attention to details(do the prep work)follow paint instructions. I believe anyone could do a good job. as you have proven.
don't be afraid to ask people for advice or help. most of them are glad to share their knowledge and experience. you should buy a paint gun and a compressor for the next time. practise with it and you will get that $1000.00 paint job. nothing feels better than to have some project turn out better than even you expected, does it?
    Great job.
