Amen Mr. Lynch! I follow him on Insta. He signed a poster for me when I was 12 at a new local shop. Sadly I think I lost that poster, but he was my idol growing up reading Surfing mag.
I have had animal encounters here on the Pacific coast and it does keep you humble. Mostly dolphins, but a shark as well. I was wearing my Shark Band at the time (which I wear everyday now) and I watched the smaller great white cruise towards me until about 10ft and then he shot off into the distance in heartbeat. he did not like my shark band, or I smelled like 2-stroke. :)

Wow....didn't know if anyone even knew who Barton is. Very cool!

That video though.....is just the best ever in describing how it makes us feel. There's really nothing like it.

As far as sharks, luckily not too many encounters here and we don't really have the Great Whites. But we have plenty that can do some damage. Look up "Shark Bite Capital of the World". Yup...that's us!

Will have to look into that shark band.
    ==========

Friend of mine who I "met" through the Internet sadly lost his son to cancer. He sent me a huge poster of Gerry Lopez that Gerry had inscribed-autographed to his son while he was still fighting it. "Keep Paddling"...Gerry Lopez. I'll see if I can post it.....

I have some others that are pretty cool, too.....

Sorry you misplaced yours...hopefully it will turn up one day.

Gearing up to do some battery installs/replacements. There's 2 different models here. Four of them for the RC26 and two of them for the RC15. Charging them up before the install this week.

The three to the left are brand new. The other three I've had since December.

That's a lot of battery money! Have you considered just moving one or two around as you need them?

That would be way too much work. Once a motorcycle is set up in running condition - maintenance isn't really that expensive. The battery is so important though - I look at it as one of the best investments one can make to reduce operating issues. Tires being another one.

And....you get your money back when you sell the bike! :)

Yeah, you are. That photo was taken the second day after delivery and I was just trying to document with pics of it in some detail before doing much else.

Had something good happen today. Had already planned to go to my storage unit and replace a couple batteries. Just for the heck of it, before leaving I checked their website to see current unit availability. Lo and behold......they showed a 15x30.....same size as mine that has electricity.

Got there and checked with the manager and she confirmed it does have electricity and said that unit JUST BECAME AVAILABLE TODAY! I mean....what are the odds?!? I got the unit number from her and went to check it out. Turns out it's right across from MY 15x30....has full size drive through doors on each end.....and the electric works! Has a single outlet and single incandescent bulb. So I went back to the office and asked that she put my name on it.

I will move my bikes out of my 10x30 w/no electricity and move them into this one. Rent is due on the 10x30 on the 20th, so need to do this by Wednesday.

I also got the batteries swapped out and now both bikes start right up! :)

    Stoked!

Transferred all 9 bikes to the larger unit today - nice to have the extra room and the electricity!

First ones moved were the RC26's......two '87's and an '86.....
