Getting the shirts done is easy. What we are having trouble with is the design for the shirts. Who on here is a starving artist that wants to be able to say they designed a tshirt? We have an idea but we need someone to put it together and make it work as a t-shirt design.

I have a graphic artist that I work with, he puts together my touch panel interfaces. I can check with him, I'm sure he'd love to do it.

If you have Long's e-mail, send him one asking him to forward the e-mail I sent with the pics and ideas. It was a compilation of 3 pics I think with ideas from Bruce and me. Feel free to add to it and give him artistic license. We don't want to copy other peoples work, but let the pics influence the design. If it sounds too complex for a t-shirt, then tell him to go with what he thinks and we will show sketches on here and see what everyone thinks. We have enough time to get a cool design and get it made this time.

Nothing yet? We may have to move along with this so it can be all taken care of prior to the event.

Let's at least figure out the text.

We could cut and paste the announcement on page one I guess. It has a little design to the font.

I guess the back of the shirt would be the same as every other year with the location and date.

In the past I have had some folks request the design on the back and just small text near what would be pocket area on front of shirt. Thoughts?

My $0.02 USD... A small crest on the front where the pocket would be... Then the date and place on the back with a larger theme related picture or drawing.

By the way... What is the theme for this year? R3 7: The return of the Canadian Mountie?

We can do a trackday at Buttonwillow. Cost is $175 but if we are serious about doing this, i can get us a group rate. Maybe get it down to about $150 per person. Letsride Trackdays i believe rents suits, so for the few that don't have the proper gear, they may have you covered. I have an extra suit as well.

They have a track day scheduled for either the 25th or 26th. We could ride there in the morning (early morning ride) Do the event, and ride home. Or, ride out there the nite prior and camp there at the track. The track is only about 1 hour away from Reg's house.

Riding it hard and dry sounds... Uncomfortable and maybe a bit chaffy... Post up the designs so we can get a consensus...

As for the track day; it sounds great but I doubt they have a suit that would fit the average 'mericun'. I might be able to get one leg in your spare suit Tori but you wouldn't want it back when I'm through...

Not yet, he is working on doing the RCMP version and also had to deal with some family/health issues. Should have another one to send soon.

Is there a cost for people who just want to stop and watch the track day? For example, if some want to do the track day and some want to take a meandering route like 58 over there to watch then have lunch or whatever and head back. I think we have a much better chance of getting a few to do a track day if we do something like that for alternate. The thing is we would prob need to decide which day would be the big ride. If we are going to repeat the route from last year (Out 58, down to Taft, then back on 166 (Hopefully squeezing in Pine Mtn if possible) it will take a full day.

Ok, I need to start getting a rough idea of how many shirts we will order. I would assume the same guy I used last time will not care what we choose to get the print on (hoodie, tshirt, long sleeve T) but the number of prints he's making like last time.

Also, the designer is well underway and he's working under the assumption that the shirt will be black and either one or two colors on top of that.

That doesn't mean you couldn't get another color, but that the design may not look as good. I'm not going to give away the design yet, but I think you guys will get a kick out of it.

We are still discussing whether it's better to have small badge on front in pocket area with design that carries into the large design on back, or do the usual big design on front.

Votes on that? (only people buying shirt should vote)

Must have a hindrance of BlackBird in it, eh?? Yes I'm going to be there or be square. So I'll need a T-shirt in a large. Something that matches my color palate.
