I'm bringing sheet music for Oh Canada as a special prize for the raffle. We can all learn the words and sing around the camp fire whilst consuming obscene quantities of beer.

Or maybe I will bring some fresh Chilliwaack Cow Shit. You get a better buzz form that stuff than you do with BC Bud and you don't even have to light it.

I tried inviting some from the BC Sports Bike group............they kinda looked at me with this puzzled look. I don't understand.

Yes, I will organize the raffle again. I will not be responsible for the aftermath if certain "prizes" are part of the raffle again. :puke: Reg did you burn that tent? Did the grass ever grow back in that spot?

TRY to keep the value of the prizes under $30; but don't be a cheap azz beeeeeatch either. It doesn't have to be motorcycle related but should add to the festive nature of the event; something the receiver will cherish (or remember) for a long time...

I have dibs on the large couch in the living room...:spy:

Thanks for the map Reg. Well when I asked the the wife about going, her first response was..."as long as I don't have to sleep in a tent!" (long story). The other hesitation is the distance, she hasn't been on a long distance ride since we took the Ducati to Santa Cruz over 15 years ago, so we'll probably have to build up to the distance first. But, it wasn't a outright NO.

and... got a call from Lori at the campground. The reservations are officially 'open' now. If you want a room (as opposed to sharing a campsite) you should call soon. When you call, tell them you're with the SabMag group.

It's even worse now. Terri insisted we tear out the carpet cause of the leak so it's a bare concrete floor now. you won't be the only one down there either. you are about the 3rd person to call dibs I think. you can use a 5 gal bucket, right? just remember to put the lid on it and take it with you when you leave...

I don't think that one is going to be in the cards for me this year. I will be coming through from Vegas with a stop in VIctorville to see my ugly brother the weekend before R3. And Fack, that place is expensive. I can get a fully serviced RV pull through at most places for what they charge to pitch a tent.

Just for everyone's edification - if you look at the wrong place on their website (and don't bother to ask), you'll get the wrong idea on pricing and restrictions. Tent sites are $20 a night, and 4-5 bikes and tents per site is not a problem. I confirmed this with Lori at Gold Country this afternoon.

true that, and unlike some hosts, I'm am not offended by someone wanting to come in and cook. It leaves me more time to socialize. ;)
