Hey- anyone here w/ cross country experience have thier old packing list? I'm working mine up now, but it's probably a good idea to see what others have done.

 

There have been a couple threads about this very topic in the past couple years. Lots of good advise. But given the distance you are travelling, a must is a small can of chain lube. I once had a can of PJ1 that fit under my seat. But haven't been able to find that around anywhere since in that size. Besides, I have switched to that new Dupont stuf which is just great stuff. Travel light. Most of what you need, you can buy on the road. I will be on the road for over a month, packing a tent and sleeping bag too, and all my old man stuff, so you should be fine.
