I replaced the R/R in my 4th gen '95 (thread here), and I have the old SH638-12 regulator sitting here. The bolt center-to-center distance is 7 cm, but the distance listed on that page is "approx 6cm". Personally, I don't think 7 cm is approximately 6 cm...

Besides, I'd replace it with a beefier regulator. Besides the one I used, I think there are some threads here recommending another particularly beefy regulator that mounts up (Rick's Electrics or Yamaha?)

I agree with paul. If you are gonna pay that much anyway, go ahead and beef it up. Try the site wiremybike.com and see if he has anything for your bike. A lot of members have dealt with him and say he is a good guy.

    Thanks guys,

A Honda OEM replacement part is 515.00 and a 3 week wait from japan which is why I thought (hoped) this one might be ok..

Oh well, back to the saving game.

Do you have links to the other suppliers?

Remember, this is in nz dollars which makes the greek currency look good right now :)
