PSA Riding after dusk

I don't know about where you love, but I believe that in many if not most jurisdictions, HID lights are illegal unless the machine came from the factory and designed for such lighting. Something with the prisms in the light housing is not designed to properly reflect the light produced by HID bulbs. They are clamping down on that here in BC. I got pulled over for having them but was not ticketed. I wasn't going to tempt fate so I replaced mine. If your lights are Underwriters approved or have a DOT certification (or here in Canada a CSA Certification) on the packaging, then you are fine. In North America, you will be illegal.

 

Plus the beam patterns are usually crap. They may produce more light but it doesn't mean that it's better light.

Yah no, don’t really care, been using HID now for 9 years. If it saves my ass once, it’s worth.
