SOW alleviated his wind problem with daily double doses of Beano. No carburetors were harmed.

No, i experienced it on every Hawk i owned (4). The Hawk is my regular daily ride, seldom need the speed or long distance capability of my VFRs.

No Squirrelman, I was asking the OP and others posters if they read your post, no one addressed your answer. It seemed they missed it. Seems like you have the answer and they did not see it.

Only two days have gone by. He may not have time until the weekend to even touch the bike. He said he would respond so let us give him some time to respond.

    Correct, thanks for that :)

So, as stated I havent had much time yet to do any of the helpful tips you guys sent me. And I want to say I appreciate all of your active helpfulness in trying to solve this strange problem. Check list for the weekend: vent tubes, start spray to check leak, air compressor test, fuelpump relay. I have checked: exhaust which is fine btw. Again I will update as soon as something new happens :) Thanks again!

    Update as promised :)

The air compressor test showed nothing, blew on all components possible. Start spray showed no leak. Fuelpump relay not yet checked.
Things I found: upon removing the fueltank I found a smal filter attached to the side, I removed it and the filter fell apart upon contact so I changed it. Also found that the cowl infront of the airintake was not properly attached to the frame, fixed that. Ran the bike and sure enough, it started running weak as soon as it got windy. So that leaves the vent tubes. Took the vent hoses that run down between the rear wheel and the shock absorber, they were taped together (?). I tried squeezing them as I drove the bike and it would show the exact same behaviour. I then pointed them forward as I drove and voila! Bike ran like a champ :)

Im going to ride some more in the week to make sure its actually solved. Thus I will keep you updated should it not work out. So thanks for all the great replies and the help you guys gave me. A big thank you to TOE CUTTER for the vent tube idea :)
