Powder coating vs Chrome plating...

    Thanks Billy. Good tip on Fusion. My chainguard is in need of help. I'll try it. I guess I qualify as an old rodder, and dam proud of it, by the way. I just went to your gallery and lo and behold another orange VFR. Looks great! The black lower fairing on mine is actually the same orange as the tank, wheels and so forth. I did a crappy photoshop job blacking it out. I think I like it better black. I have a second set of mint original lowers, so I can try it pretty painlessly. Check the blog below.

    I always figured color is kind of a personal thing, I don't expect many to appreciate it. Hadn't thought about selling it. Interested?

    I would check around for powdercoating prices. Most stuff needs to be stripped, variety and colors of the actual materials has changed, the fusing temps are lower ect, the equipment is less. I pretty much stick with industrial outfits rather than "botiques".

    I like new technology but am a dude who is happy with the labels on his skivvies on the inside.
