    Low tech.. Find a thrift store . Buy a sweatshirt. Soak it in water at rest stations. wear it under your jacket. Instant swamp cooler.

    This past Monday (the 20th) it was a mere 124*!!!! in Palm Springs. I wonder if our tires wear more quickly when it's that hot. Tar snakes definitely an issue in this heat.

    124?! I was whining when i saw 105! Bought a jacket at cycle gear and soon as i get closer to hwy101 temperature drops to 70! Then i could whine about being chilled.

    New favorite road.

    Took hwy 36 from just south of Redding, across to Hwy 101. What a Scratcherss delight. Then, started down 101,til i could cut over to Hwy 1. Another freakin great road. Too slow but wonderful. Hwy 1 is wonderous. What scenery. Staying in ft. Bragg, in an oceanside place. Lady gave me a break, and it was getting late. Overload! !! Im use to like 3good curves per 100miles! Wow. Cant wait to hit san Francisco! '

    If you're looking for a fun road to cut back over to the 101, head south to Stewarts Point and head east on Skaggs Springs to Geyserville

    a well known moto destination for the bay area is Alice's in Woodside up on skyline

    Gets quite busy towards weekends, all kinds of different bikes show up. some fun roads in the area too. The run to Big Basin, La Honda etc..

    I think they own a franchise chain. I am envious of your trip. Next year is the year for me. Have no idea where after R3 but might get to Texas and New Orleans baby. Really want to see that place.

    That right there is just curve after curve, what a blast, I need to get down there again. Then those trees are some else to behold, hard to watch ones line for the scenery, why it's a 2-5 trip ride. sounds like you're having a great time, it' Probably better a wee bit than Bear tooth just because of the location. But Damn dude, where are the photos..? LOL I get it, no time for editing this and that huh.

    Just make sure you take the Golden Gate Bridge, and it not the bay bridge at rush hour, or you will feel like long's :ass: did after R3. Violated and jaded. Oh by the way, there is no Ocean around SF it is all desert, so get your ocean fix up there.....I KEED I KEED

    Im afraid that the pictures will have to wait til i get back home. At least the first part of trip,as i have taken just a few video shots,but never brought a cord to download them with. From now on ill trg to take a few phone pictures. (
