So, I want to make sure everything is buttoned up for the meet in april. I was out riding the other day and i noticed some very heavy engine vibration at and above 7k rpm. It seems to run nice and smooth until this point in the rpm range. I was just wondering what you guys think this could be.

I'm already in the middle of replacing the plugs, and have an air filter on order. Anything else i should take a look at / be worried about?

Hmmmmmm....did you check the footpeg bolts for tightness? Did a bar-end weight fall off and you didn't notice it? Maybe check other frame bolts for tightness.

Havn't checked any bolts, but i don't remember any abnormal vibes coming thru the pegs, it was mainly the seat and both grips. I'll get the new plugs in there and take a ride once the good weather returns.

well, new plugs did the trick, caught a short break in the weather to test it out. theres over 16.5k miles on it and i think the plugs were done for, or atleast one couldn't handle 7k rpm or so.
