You know. I read this over a few times. And I have lost where you and I disagree cause everything you have said here is right on the money. And yes, now all motorcycles have their lights automatic with the ignition turned on. I think this has been the case since around 1974. I was doing some research on the modulating headlights and read this today.

So in a nut shell, lights are good. I guess my only point now is whether the extra lights that have been put on, and let me say from this point, I think they are cool even though I am older and do not consider myself a squid, are legal in your jurisdiction. I suppose if I knew where you lived (State Province etc) and given the time, I could probably give you a definative answer on that.

End result. Those lights are cool. I am right, and you have joined me in the ranks of perfection.

Sorry to confuse lol. I didn't explain fully and it's a nitpick if anything. You're obviously more visible during the day regardless, but more likely to go unnoticed. Know what I mean? Just by the definition of the word.

During the day people see everything. At night, from a distance all they see are your lights. Hence, more visible during the day.

You are less likely to be noticed during the day though because of other traffic and distractions which is what you were pointing out I believe. That's all. We made it out to be more than it is lol.

That lighting throws out such an other-worldly glow that I bet it's been the source of numerous UFO sightings.

Well I think those rims kick ass as well. But guess it is out of the question for me in how and when I ride.
