Just signed up here since I picked up a nice, albeit a little dirty, '98 VFR . It's way more into touring than I am so the windscreen, Givi hardbags, Sargent seat and ( forgive my ignorance ) whatever case is on the back behind the passenger seat are all coming off and getting sold. I imagine it's also a Givi. I'll probably wish I had them back in a few years but right now, I just need the money so I can pay sales tax and get a tag.

I got a sweet deal on the whole thing, I didn't have the money for it and I got it for every penny I had left because I had just bought a CBR 600 f4i that I TOLD myself to buy because it was "good enough"..........long story short, that little torque-less turd is now for sale. LOL

Holy crap I love the sound, the torque, the linear power and the comfort ! It's THE all around bike. I can only afford one right now and I'm happy it's the VFR. I would've never looked at one if a good friend of mine hadn't suggested it. ( I'm an ex-sportbike douche bag )

Aside from all that, glad to be here. Seems like a fantastic community of riders. If any of you guys live in upstate SC, send me a message.

And always remember, tires are like wives. If you want to fool around, you'd better warm them up first.

    Welcome!

Be forewarned, people will bother you for pictures of your bike.

There is the classified section above to give your items a large audience.

Not sure why that is exactly, it isn't like the 98 came in a wide array of color options..

I'll go out on a limb and say his bike is red.

    Yup. Guilty. It's red.

I'll make sure I get a pic up sometime in the next 8 months. Nothing like a little suspense to see another red 5th gen. :potstir:

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, and thank you Knight for the tips.

Since the new guy just got the bike and said it was dirty and loaded up with all that stuff to carry other stuff. maybe he'd like to wait to even shoot any "after" pix until he gets the bike looking like he wants it to look like.

All this post pix or die, is boring and sounds like a bunch of harleydoods making up shit like it was official.

Seeing how you like to buzz old farts -don't leave Duccman out -he just got buzzed by a 5th gen too. But I would like some pics too-I stay away from red bikes though-just too gaudy looking. good luck with your nice bike.:smileyfb:

They do not believe empty claims (skeptics) and also they enjoy bike porn.
