I believe that the concept for the "naked" bike came about during a VFR oil change or headlight replacement. Naked VFR anyone?

It can be done, but it isn't easy to make a good looking naked VFR. this is the first one that I saw that looked awesome IMO:

One can't just do a cut job and get a good naked bike!

I was wondering if that cross threaded brass nut is the same dimensions as the bras part of the well nut?. If so, maybe consider getting a new well nut, and with a sharp knife, remove the rubber collar surrounding it, then epoxy that bras nut into the spot where the stripped one was. Would that work?

I'm pretty certain it is. Since the hole in the fairing appears to have been boogered out badly, I'll probably just get a regular brass insert for wood, then tap the hole & epoxy it in place. WAAAAAAAAY cheaper than the well nuts!

    Thanks~
