Sorry man, I don't have one. Does anyone know what this thing is really supposed to do anyway? The other VF models (not sure about the C and S versions) don't have it, only the 700/750's.

That box triggers a warning light on the dash when a bulb burns out.

Correct. The box lights up the idiot light in the dash when the taillight burns out.

Kind of a small niggle, but I already spent money to upgrade the dash to LEDs, so I may as well use them!

MPM, if you can check for me that would be great!

I don't have a mirror for you(don't have any stock ones, as a matter of fact, not using oem mirrors), but I'll keep my eye out for you. Jamie may have one, but he treasures his parts

Yes, that's the box I'm looking for. I will accept your offer if you let me pay for shipping!

twowheelracer, is yours in better condition?

MPM, if his is in better shape, I would rather get his, even if I have to buy it. Please don't take offense, just trying to make this bike super nice. Thanks very much for your help guys!!

I prefer the term "hoard". You have to do that these days. If parts were that easy to come by we wouldn't have to be out here on the forums begging for them!

Seb no offense taken. If I was to rebuild my bike to that quality I would want the best of everything. Just keep me posted.

Been slow lately as I have bigger fish to fry lately, but here's a few pics anyway.

Insulator plate for the front carbs(blocks heat from rad) was media blasted & painted, and the old rubber pieces were deteriorated so I got a piece of door edging from my buddy at the body shop and trimmed some pieces to fit:

Here it is installed, it also serves as a holder for the left front spark plug wire:

Repainted the rad covers, and also replaced the rusty screen sheild bolts with stainless screws:

Cleaned & re-oiled the K&N, although it didn't really need it:

    I love this view:

Blasted & painted the passenger handles:

Also got my hands on a good set of calipers that also have clean pistons(mine were rusty). I took them apart, need to order all the seals. The calipers will be blasted and repainted, not sure what color yet.

Last but not least, I drew up a shock reservoir bracket and cut it from .090" titanium. Worked out pretty good, just needs some paint!

Looking very nice!! Reminds me of when I did mine back in 85. The bike was endo'd a couple of times. Got it cheap and did the old rebuild routine.

Can't wait to hear how it rings out after testing. Gotta be a sweet ride.
