Yes he was a very rich doctor. He kept repeating that the integrity of his name is far more important than the money. He even insisted that if I were the get a new fairing installed that he would pay for the installation. Of course I wouldn't expect him to do that.

I'm glad to be part of the club. So far the bike impresses me every time I ride it. The brakes are incredible. I was practicing emergency stops from 60-0 and the G forces actually made me a little light headed. My girlfriend also loves it, claiming its the first bike I've had where she can see "over" me instead of "around me" as the passenger.

The shifting issue I mention has been solved by me riding it in the RPM range where it should be ridden. Coming from a V-twin, I'm used to cruising at 2500-4k RPMs. I see now that this bike prefers 4-6k.

Easiest way to clean up that rear is to simply buy the Competition Werkes fender eliminator. Keeps it legal and makes for a nice look.

Too quiet didn't bother me at first but when I put on a set of TBR slip on's.....WOW she really sounded like the bike I always wanted.

Someone just posted a set for sale in the classified's on this site.

    Good luck with her.....nice find.

Too quiet? Lift the tank and remove the intake snorkel. All it does is keep her quiet until vtech kicks in around 6800rpm then shes loud enough.

I also gutted my stock cans, I kept the lead out pipes from the last baffle, but if I ever feel the need to open them again id shorten them down a bit. Say 1inch from end cap :)
I left them to cut down on the high pitched noise I heard when running without the cans on (use a diverter to keep from melting things) but I think shorter would have been better.

Oh I forgot, spend some time reading about the 6th gen starter valves and syncing them. Seems to not be done by shops doing pdi's and I dont think the doc would have done them.....

There is lots that can be done to this bike in terms of mods.

    Welcome to the insanity!

Get a Power Commander, it will make it a lot smoother in the lower RPM range, 3-4K around town. 1st & 2nd gear smoother starts
