After the 5-6 coats of primer and a bunch of sanding back to really be ready for finish paint, best do another fit check. Some time can be saved by spot priming and indicator coats. Right now what ya got is Ruffles with ridges.. Bottom line? If you can feel it with your fingertips it will show.

The tank looks like it has come out nicely... that's not clear coated yet? I like the color a lot.

  that might be the one thing I'd take over an oatmeal cream pie ....... provided they came with onion dip.

the corbin is real comfy but is showing a lot of miles. Their website gives a customer service email address to contact specifically for inquires on recovering.

I emailed them with model and year wondering what the cost and lead time would be.

They emailed me back and told me to call in. Not sure why the question is so hard to answer.

IMO there ought not to be complaints. Corbin has done it right matching customer service with the quality of their product.

    I suppose

I am new to this whole posting thing, and one guy posted earlier his love for the Texas Longhorns, and I thought I was piping in right after him, but when I posted it came up at the very bottom of the posting. Knight Rider was cool, Hof, not so much. LOL

That's cool. I couldn't figure out if you were just a spammer. We get those types who show up and post wierd stuff that doesn't make sense trying to peddle a product.

Since ya got thick skin and think the hoff isn't cool, you'll probably fit right in here.

On the project topic; I got everything in prime last night. Have some touchup sanding to do and then more primer. If I'm lucky, this thing will be shot with color next week.

update - more parts in color. Just have to do some touchup sanding on the uppers, mids, and one side. Then they'll be ready for color as well. Maybe Friday.

Tink, your dog looks really bored..............or perhaps ready to make off with one of those painted panels to use as a chew toy.

Also, close your breaker panel, observe electrical safety at all times, OSHA is watching.

I finally formulated my decal plan. The idea is to compliment the white wheels with white decals. The blue bike and white decals kinda screws up with the standard 1990 VFR RWB decal. I'll put white INTERCEPTOR on the tail, HONDA on the tank (no wing), V4 GEAR DRIVEN on the upper with V4 in yellow, and the VFR decal on the mid will look like the image below:

Contact Sargent Seats. They recovered my Corbin and did an AMAZING job. Lots of options and good customer service and it only cost me about $200.-- +/-

thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Will need to recoup some discretionary funds before I'll be able to do anything with the seat.
