Really nice:clap2: did you replace the fairings, or sand and paint? Did it yourself, or had it done?

    Hi John
My buddy helped me out to replace them. Brand new painted OEMs. They could have been fixed but i am not a handy man. Some guys picked up the scratched ones and he said they are usable with a little skill and work, but that doesnt sound like me :)
Fairings were the easiest ones. Drilling for those sliders was the true adventure. they dont land on a plain surface. :(

You need to balance out the cost of painting and repairing your damaged fairings vs simply replacing with new ones that already come painted. I bought my 2002 with a damaged left side fairing from a driveway drop, im too nit picky so im going to just buy new fairings once i damage this one a little bit more lol. I paid very little for my viffer so i was accept having a few flaws for the sub market price i got mine for.

It would seem R+G sliders should have been on the bike in the first place as well as a Lighter exhaust and a better seat and a damper-all things I have installed and folding levers and heated grips. not the same bike any more-its better. M5 tires too. IMGP0295.jpg IMGP0293.jpg IMGP0314.jpg IMGP0315.jpg IMGP0300.jpg IMGP0302.jpg IMGP0290.jpg IMGP0312.jpg :tsk:
