I bought a donor fuel tank as the one on my 93 was shite/ruated out garbage. I even got one in the correct colour (white) the previous owner installed a new petcock so that was one less thing i had to buy (bought new o-rings for fuel gauge and pet cock.) Your gona have to invest some money in carburetor overhaul kits, along with maybe a fuel pump flush and or a new one. Plan on spending some quality time with your scooter, don't ask me how i know this, i got a 145mph or so bike that i wouldn't hesitate to go anywhere on. Btw my 91 with 80,000 + miles is still a better feeling gen3 bike with more top end :peace: include pictures in dah future

Glad you got your old fuel sorted. I'd probably run some Redex through , had good results with this in an old vw that ran out of fuel and dragged the crap into the carb.

Hi all, I have taken the VFR for its first run after getting legal. The bike starts fine and no issues pulling away, what i have found is that i'm getting some slight hold back when i start to accelerate hard and it seems to be at 7 k lags a bit then clears and then lags and clears. It is not that noticeable running at normal riding but you cant expect instant response. Also there is only a slight popping when de accelerating.

    Any pointers

    Thanks
