I'm going to need constant reminders! At least I have some time to get leathers and prep the bike; I don't have any of the 'necessary' mods done yet.

what mods (other than taking off the mirrors and taping lights) do you need?

Actually I was hoping to pick your brain on that, Beta. As of now, my throttle isn't smooth in the corners, and that's not for lack of me trying. My throttle is either off, or like 15%. It's abrupt too, more so than the VTEC transition people complain about. That upsets the bike and also scares me. It's possible I'm just doing it all horribly wrong. (but I really hope I'm not that dense)
So I've read all across the site here that several 'necessary' mods to the 6th gen will help with this,(and general driveability) but I haven't done all the research I want to do before I commit to spending the money.
Another question entirely is "should I even bother with them for my first trackday, or at all?"
Like I said, I'd like to pick your brain on it, so hit me on PM or email... don't want to hijack this thread.

why dont we ride together this weekend and see if we can work this throttle thing out. It's a common error and usually not a mechanical issue. In general you want to be running neutral throttle to the apex of a turn and wind throttle on from the apex to the exit in one continuous and positive motion

Welll..... may end up with a slight issue since I may be selling the VFR :peep: :brick:

I'm not rushing to get it out of the garage, and this isn't a great time to be selling a bike, so if I still have it come October I am in. If I don't, I will try and come down to take pics/video for you again!

You should snap them all up and drive up the market value, and eliminate all the riff-raff around here!

First of all, hey everybody Im new to the forum. Im loving the 2007 VFR RWB (except the difficult throttle control, power commander coming soon...). I just did a track day at Thunderbolt a couple weeks ago with the California Superbike School. It was a blast! And the track was a lot of fun. I would definitely be down with going on this trip and meeting some of you guys but I crashed one of the school's S1000rr's and it ended up being a very expensive weekend!

Sorry dudes, VFR is headed to her new home this Saturday. I might be able to swing by to take pics and stuff though.
