But isnt that what I've already done? When i did the diode test?
Not sure how to do an ohm the RR, if thats a-b b-c c-a but on the ohm setting then it stays at 1, the meter doesn't change.
The stator ohm check was ab 1.2ohm bc 1.1ohm ca 1.0ohm.
Volts at batt at idle 14v and 15v at 5000rpm

Did you ever have the battery load checked? A two year old battery with all that load on it is hard on the battery and could be the reason it wouldn't start that one day. The older a battery gets the less capacity it has. If you are getting 14 volts at idle and 15 at 5K rpms then it seems your charging system is working within its ability.

I have a load tester, I used it, and it said it passed. It dropped a volt from around 13-12.
I did an amp test on my stereo and LEDs, the stereo was around 5amps and the leds were around 2amps. I'm not sure, but that doesn't seem like a lot to effect the system?

sorry. misserd your ohm test, was using my phone at the bar to follow your posts, it seems like your rr is fine also and if it is output that voltage then it maybe a battery issue. so at idle your accessary load is 84 watts, add in 100 watts for headlight and 4 watts for tail light. that is a lot of load. measure voltage at idle with high beem turned on

Voltage with Hi beam on seems about the same, maybe a .1v difference.

I'm going to reassembly the stator, but i need to order a gasket. Is there anything I can do to make shift the old gasket till it arrives?

Clean and dry both the cover and engine flange surfaces. Then use a 1mm wide bead of the high temp rtv-type gasket sealer on the cover flange only, let it set 5-10 minutes then install and hand-tighten the screws to pull the cover down even and let it sit another 10 minutes, then snug it down (don't overtighten and don't use too much sealer). You can use the paper gasket next time you pull the cover.

I've never tried this myself but I have heard of people cutting out a gasket out of a cereal box.
