Flashing lights that hypnotize, glad you dodged & are still alive.

So next time I see flashers, I will slow down sooner.

Last time I saw flashing lights in the road, it was from a pickup truck stopped at the top of a hill just west of Yuma Proving Grounds at night.

The burro he'd just hit was in the middle of the road, had I not slowed down sooner, I've have made a mess of the rental car.

Now I know where Taco Bell burritos come from....

Holy Crap Ray! Glad you had those cat like reflexes....I am pretty sure it took a while to pull the bike seat from out of your ass too. Thanks for the write up.

Seems this kinda thing would happen to snowmobilers and barbed wire fences all the time back in MN and WI - other places too no doubt.

Glad it turned out to be no more than a pucker-moment in th end!

Wow, good move, I've only encountered that kind of obstacle trail riding.

.......seems those flashing hazard lights should have given you some clues and slowed you down..... alot.

given your description of the scene, i'd have anticipated that one of the cars had hit a deer and expected a carcass in the road.

    glad you're OK.

Exactly what I figured. Lots of deer accidents on this road. The cars were up ahead about an eight of a mile... far enough where I didn't even think anything would have been related to it where I was. Well, believe me next time I won't be that naive!
