As of right now Ted, David and I are meeting at the Waffle House in Franklin at 9 a.m. on Saturday. I65 and highway 96 (Exit 65) Waffle House is just west of the interstate on the south side of the highway. Don't know where we're going or how long we'll be out. We just go...and take turns leading. We tend to stay off the roads more traveled. Ted's buying breakfast. :biggrin:

I wish I'd seen this a week ago! I just moved to Nashville in August, already been out several times with others here, but I've only seen one other Viffer since I moved. The motorcycle community here is fantastic, but I'd definitely love to meet a few other VFR owners! Oh, and I'm in Cleveland Park.

 

Have not heard of Cleveland Park. Where is that? Good chance we'll be out again this weekend...don't know what day just yet.

 

If anyone is interested there is a cruise leaving uncle petes truck stop in Lebanon Saturday morning at 10am. I will be there with my 87 would love to see some more out there

That would be the Nashville Sport Bikes Meetup Group. (The East Side Ride) meets at Uncle Pete's Truck Stop Saturdays and or Sundays. There is also the (The West Side Ride) which meets at Puckett's in Leipers Fork on Sundays. I recently became a member of www.meetup.com since there seems to be zero interest of any VFR World/VFR Discussion members here in the Middle, TN area meeting up for rides. This past Sunday the West Side Ride had 8 riders in the group of all makes of bikes. We rode all day. Nice guys and no drama. It was a fun time.

 

I'm in Lebanon... Off of 109 so closer to Mount Juliet. Glad to see more of us around! I hope to be getting out more this summer!

 

I drive down 109 from Gallatin to 40 every week day.

I'll bring this thread back to the top. I just got a VFR and will be looking to do some riding around Nashville. I am in Franklin. I will have to check out the meetup site as well.

I know a few riders here in Franklin. One owns a 1998 VFR. We ride all around here. Sometimes we make a long day of it. It's usually short notice when we do decide to get out. Are you new to Franklin/Middle TN? New to motorcycles?

Not new to Franklin nor really new to Motorcycles, but it has been about 7 years since I last rode. I just bought a very low mileage 2008 and am looking forward to getting back on a bike. I will just want to do some easy riding for a while to knock the cobwebs off, but I will certainly be up for some rides. I am usually pretty flexible on schedule so last minute isn't really an issue for me. It just depends if I already have something planned for that time.

Motographer, I may be up to see you. I want to get a few things. I want to get a new helmet, specifically a Shoei Neotec, so if you have some good prices, let me know.

 

I'll have to check if we have any Neotecs in stock, I know we have the GT-Air, RF-1200, and a couple of RF-1100s left on closeout. If we don't have exactly what you're looking for, we can always special order it. I'll be working Saturday and Sunday afternoons Our GM also has a 2004 and one of our sales guys has a torn up 1991. We should get a local VFR World meet together, I had no idea there were so many others in the area!

I drove by that store several days ago. I too need to check it out. Maybe I can this Saturday but it would be late in the afternoon before I could.....weather forecast for Saturday is mid 60's, cloudy with a 20% chance of rain but that could easily change by Saturday.

 

Surely you don't mean to imply that our weather is anything other than perfectly normal?

...I say after a 40-degree swing in high temperatures from yesterday to today.

Me and a friend will be down that way soon sometime next month from VA , PA We will be in Pigeon Forge . I'll be on a 2007 VFR 800 My friend will be on a 1999 VFR 800
