Those of you that know me, know that I like and prefer bourbon. Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace, Elijah Craig etc.

As for scotch though I like The Glenn Levit and or Dewars 12 year. There are others but the costs start to climb to high for everyday drinking.

And I like Bushmills Irish Whiskey

I cant describe any Notes or Flavors other than bourbon, scotch and whiskey smell and taste like candy for adults

My Nephew came back form working in Scotland with a bottle of Ardbeg, an Islay single malt & I got to say I love the smokey peat.
My favourite tipples that i can afford are Monkey Shoulder & Big Peat.
Both are blended single malts, Big Peat is a nice 'Winter' drink, Monkey Shoulder is a smooth drinking, with no burn, whisky. You can drink it all night ( or until the bottle runs out). The only thing I add to my scotch, is the glass tumbler.

Well Randy, I agree that the Hyland park is pretty tasty.A great choice for Robbie Burns day. My go to single malts are Glendronach and Glenmorangie 10 year olds. When in the right mood Ardbeg, Bowmore and Laphroaig. I do enjoy my Kentucky whiskies too. Makers Mark, Buffaloe Trace, Pappy van winkles.Yum.So many whiskies so little time.

Yeah, the whisky that I like to drink the most of, is someone Else's. Luckily everyone thinks I'm a Piss Ant & I get most of my supply at Christmas & birthdays.

Nice looking bar you have going there Nookiaz............. Pardon me for saying, but if I am not completely mistaken, I think there might be a theme going there. Shouldn't there be a bottle of rum, vodka, wine, etc, be mixed in there for good measure????? What if your guests don't care for scotch......:boink: :biggrin1:

Glenn Livitt is a nice smooth single malt. Not bad price wise. Their 12 year old is very affordable. Their 18 year old is getting up there though. Cardhu is another nice one, but it is middle of the road. I haven't had that for a number of years cause it just does not excite me. I suggest you go out and try that Lagavulin. It is very smokey and will jump out and bite you. You defiantly want to give that a try at a good scotch bar before you spend that kind of money. If you like that HP 12 year old, treat yourself to the older Highland Parks. When enjoy mine, I usually just have one, maybe two, then move to one of the others. I don't think you can really appreciate the smoothness of the more expensive scotches once you have numbed your tongue.

Thanks, Mr. Randy, I had a chance to sample my friend's Lagavulin on may occasions, very peaty & smoky note. Highland Parks & Laga qre quite pricey here in QC. Thanks to the liquor board's monopoly.

Not a lover of whisky, but, if I had to drink one it would be Penderyn. It's made in a distillery approximately 12 miles from my home. The distillery is just inside the Brecon Beacons National Park. You can call in to the distillery on your way for a blast along some awesome Welsh mountain roads.
