I wish you lived closer Chris and I'd teach you more myself. Remember the MSF ERC won't teach you how to hang off, but it will teach you some basic street survival skills. The MSF sportbike course gets a little deeper into cornering technigues.

Keep the opportunities for learning open and they'll come to you.

No the ERC won't teach you how to hang off....but it will teach you how to survive on the road ... what to look for & how to watch / how to not be invisible - so that you CAN learn how to hang off. I have taken it 2 times & learned from both experiences. Also, some insurance companies, and MAYBE the Honda Owners Group (if you belong) will refund the cost of the class once you have taken it. Not sure about your situation, but it's worth asking the question to your insurance guy.

Speaking of being invisible yesterday I was leaving one side of campus to get to the other ..I made eye contact with the dummy in the car , she proceeded to pull out and make the turn anyway right in front of me.....a quick lean and push a blazed around her and gave he car a love tap as I went by...she caught up to me at the next light and started yelling about how she had the right of way and I was supposed to yeild.....so I informed that since she pulled out of a lot ONTO the road it was her fault.. anyway, have fun again

Well done, group! It's stories like this that bring it back to the fact that when you make the move to ride, you're not just inheriting a motorcycle.... you're inheriting the family that goes with it (and it's a big ass family, too!)

I belong to another motorcycle forum (CBR 600 RR) and like it, but there is no comparison to VFRW, no doubt, there are a lot af good friends, it's a shame that I live in another country so I`d like to meet someday to US VFRW members, I feel proud to be part of this community and to have my VFR .

Some friends ask me why I prefer the VFR over my CBR600RR ( it's newer) and now I know it's because it's personality and the grop I bellong: VFRW.

 

Be careful cabera. I went down there last april and they tried to BBQ me. They are a hostile bunch in the USA. I am going down there again this May and going to install top secrete devises that will cause everyone there to start saying "eh!"

don't want to know how will they threat a Mexican In VFR,..............I guess you're better threated than me...........anyway I don't think of going there soon although it would be a good idea.
