When you deal with dealers there is always a higher man So when you talk with the manager you as for the reginal mangaer and so forth. It has been to my exspreince that you can go almost to the top because they dont want you to bad mouth the brand and talk shit to everyone you know on and off line these days. just keep going to the top and you will get some type of result.

Well first off you only have to pay for the $$ amount that you agreed to. They can not charge you more than what was on an estimate unless you agree to a higher amount via phone or in person. If by phone they need to document it on the R/O with time and date. In short if you agreed to X amount then you pay X amount when you pick up your bike. As stated talk to the head guy and stay calm and polite but do not pay for surprise totals that you didnt agree to. Its the LAW.

I totally agree, more and more the dealers are becoming "boutiques'" and are charging up the wazoo for their flashy stores. Our biggest independent shop here ,"Power Cycle", gives a great price and always sticks to it, if the bike needs anything over the agreed amount they get on the phone and tell you why and how much before they do it so you can give them a yes or no. Just got my Avon Storm's for $ 420 out the door, installed including our lovely 14 % gift to the government. Great shop to deal with and they work on anything . Go with the independent guy and you'll be happier.

I think $150 to mount the two tires are about the same every where. My dealer charge $80 per wheel for labor+ parts (Sterm valve, disposal fee etc.) What I did is remove the wheels myself and let them replace the tires and that only cost me $70 for both installed and balance.

Incredible !!!!! Here (italy...) If You Buy Two Tires (or One) The Mounting/balancing Is Free !!!! I Can Not Believe You Pay For Installation. I Can Admit That You Have To Pay Something To A Guy If He Mounts Your Tires You Purchased Elsewhere But Not If Installation Happens Where You Buy Tires ! Imagine To Have A Meal In A Restaurant : You Pay Your Meal And Not The Food And Cooking Apart....i Don't Know If I Arrive To Well Explain Myself...
