Well, the electrosport stator should be delta wound and 115mm outer diameter if it's the right model.

Does anyone have a link to the recall info? I was unaware of a recall - guess I should pay more attention to this board. I searched and couldn't find anything but then I'm search challenged....

Edit: OK I did find some information but the electrical recall was only for 2002-2005? Mine is a 2006.

UPDATE: Shop put in the new OEM stator and cranked up the bike. Despite normal voltage to the battery (14.1) the new stator wiring started getting very warm, very fast. Current theory: Something went kaKa in June and is the cause of the original burnout, the aftermarket stator going crispy and the current cooking. I've called Honda Corporate, they're gonna get with the local shop, hopefully track the problem down. Given the electrical grief I've had over the years (like in Sept 07 when Speed-Tribe hid me in the middle of the pack because my headlights were gone) and the $1500 in costs (and counting) this go-around, Honda maybe, just maybe "classify this as a Goodwill issue", an Out of Warranty warranty repair. I'm hoping someone here can come up with THE SOLUTION because I'm just about ready to scrap the VFR. I can email the wiring schematic to any interested in a REAL headache...
