I was in Indy last year, and as a ticket holder at Ducati island, I was able to take a lap of the track before the race (I think Fri or Sat morning). Anyway, this was before I actualy owned a Honda, so I loudly proclaimed that I was planning on laying down an oil slick to take out the "hobbit" (Dani P). I was riding my Guzzi after all (nickname: Valdez). Sorry guy's, looked like my evil plan worked. No worries this year, as if I go I'll be flying in on my dripless Interceptor. Looks like I accidentaly got Rossi too! Oops! I always root for the little guys..............GO DUCATI!!!!:moonie:

(No spoiler) It was a great last 6 laps with Spies looking to live up to his potential this year, Hayden having a good ride near the front all race fighting right until to the end but what a great run through the pack and finish by Lorenzo.

I was not expecting much from Hayden, but 9th-3rd at the start? ahead of Stoner of a brief couple turns? HOLY SHAMOLY!

I screamed loud enough for Ron to hear in Northern Cali when he passed Mr. Pedrosa - who does not seem to be able to change his riding style to match the needs of the bike-yet (hmmm)

Nice ride by Dovi and Jorge, well and Rossi.

The SpeedTV coverage sucks it though. the announcer says Lorentho and Tech Trio, and other annoying stupidity. No after race podium interviews this year, we get him explaining stuff like why the bikes don't have kickstads. ugh.

I think it was the same announcer who covered the first Indy GP (hurricaine) and said Lorentho. Unless he has a lisp that prevents the z pronounciation.
No after race intv's b/c they need to advertise the reality series on speed during the long commericals, and they have to air all the tow trucking shows after the race. Lots of 'speed' related stuff.
Just be thankful he knows what a kickstand is.

why doesnt speed just let the world feed announcers cover it? It was nice to see in high def, and the interviews were very pedestrian, but chiming in at every return from commercial with a statement of the obvious - no thanks!

technically, he is pronouncing Lorenzo's name correctly. It's known as a "catalan lisp" which is in deference to the language spoke in/around barcelona - I agree though he just sounded gay.

Ah yes, the Queen's Spanish. The lisp, I remember hearing this having spent some time over there. But, I thought it was Castillian, not Catalan, oh well, whatever.
