    Hi
I'm new her - thanks for having me :)
    I´m a happy owner of a VFR750 Interceptor 1991

I am cleaning my rear-wheel bearing hub. It seems strange for me, that there is no O-Ring or other forms of seal in one side of the bearing.
I have tryed to paint the spot on the pictures, where I seems logical for me to put a seal. I have also attached an explosion-drawing, and it shows no seal.
I hope you understand what I mean.
    Thank you in advance :)

I hate these kind of answers, but...

Then don't worry about it. These bikes are certainly not known to fail in that area and there has been enough years and miles that no one has thought that there is a failure potential or a service problem with how Honda did it. Do service it every decade or so like you have done and make sure that everything that was designed to be there, is there and in good condition.

Assemble and enjoy a killer version of the VFR.

    And WELCOME! I have a 1992 among about 12 other VF/VFRs.

Has been problems in UK due to our fetush with spreading massive amounts of rock salt on our roads over winter.

However any problem is related to sized chain adjustment. Bearing failures are very rare.

A good service and greasing is all that is needed for years of trouble free riding.

Enjoy your 92, am currently restoring a 90 in red of course.

I can't speak for your generation VFR, but my 06, 6th gen, was ridden to and from work, 100-mile round trip, year-round from 2006 to 2012 in a climate very much similar to yours, on the wet coast of Canada. We used to use lots of rock salt and depending on the weather still do. But mostly a salt brine now. My rear bearing lasted about 210,000 km before they basically disintegrated. And basically, I did not do much as far as maintenance on the bearing other than habitual cleaning of the bike, and pretty loyal chain lubing. I think you will be fine as is.
