Trying to think back to when I first noticed her running a bit off, the bike was I suppose at 90%. there was just something a bit 'off' and I couldn't find the problem till now.
anyway looking back I gave her to local 'mechanic' to fit head bearings and heated grips for me some time ago and it could be it's since that time but it took me a while to notice it, I can't be sure, I know one thing anyway he hadn't fitted the heads bearings correctly so it makes me suspicious of his other work, the heated grips are still working anyway, but on a friends bike his heated grips have stopped working (also fitted by this guy) and I'm starting to suspect his work isn't all that great,
I can't be sure, it could be my own fault and it usually is in my experience with machines over the years, it's usually something I've done wrong myself,
anyway the bike is running perfect now, touch wood, just in time for winter and a national 5km lockdown, perfect timing!!
have to say the eureka moment when you think you've found the problem was nice!!
