Well boys, its with a sad heart that I sold my bike today.

I wrestled with the situation over the last couple of weeks, posted it up about a week ago, and a nice young gentleman came buy today and purchased it. I think I gave him a pretty good deal, and I know he's happy with it. He just turned 24 a few days ago, and it was refreshing to see a young "kid" have such an appreciation for these bikes. I'm sure he'll do right by the VFR, and I was comfortable selling it to him.

Hopefully someday I'll get back to it - but for now, I'm going to turn my attention to the car I just picked up (see replies above).

But now the important question: Do I still get to hang around and bust everyone's balls even though I'm Viffer-less? Doesn't matter; I'm gonna do it anyway until Reg drops the ban hammer on me.

I traded my old R6 Yamaha for a turbo neon srt-4, maybe a mistake. I think I would get the car, sell the motorcycle. Then when you get the car put some really big price on it and make a profit then buy newer motorcycle.:eek:range:

well VFR's are a dime a dozen, so it's not like you'll have to search long if you want to get another one

Only if you post up some "stories from the workshop" so we can enjoy the whole muscle car thing vicariously. :glee:

    Aww, shucks. Thanks guys.

I already dealt with a little bit of "sellers remorse". Woke up a few times last night (not that its out of the ordinary), but the first thing on my mind was that I'm now bikeless. Kind of leaves an empty feeling inside of you. Then when I walked into the garage to leave for work, with no bike or car in there, it really sucked.

The good news is I'm picking up the car on Saturday. I had sent it off to a shop about 3 weeks ago that deals exclusively with turbo V6s to have them do the stuff that's out of my range. Made a few upgrades to injectors, fuel rails, gauge pods, etc. New chip to work in conjunction with the changes that were made. No dyno yet, but definitely picked up some respectable HP. The exhaust still has the cat on it since I need to go through NJ emission inspections, but once that's done, the cat comes off. (Picking up an exhaust on Saturday after I grab my car.) That should give me another 15hp or so, but more importantly, will allow me to tweak the boost another 20%-22% higher without fear of blowing up the engine.

I also had an on-board computer/scanner installed. In addition to telling me things like 02 millivolts, knock retard, RPMs, Volts, coolant & oil temp, it also allows me to tune the car on-the-spot and make adjustments for things like pump gas versus race.

I think I've already decided I want my next VFR to be a 2007 RWB. Let see what the future holds in store.
