Overall impressions of the new Michelins continues to be very positive. I rode over 550 miles this weekend, and the tires continue to impress. The supple ride quality makes for a smooth ride and complements a properly suspended VFR very nicely. The tires heat up from the get-go, and the steering is very neutral, much a like a Metzeler, if you know what I mean (I still hold a very high opinion of Metzeler tires...). Grip is all you could ask for for street riding, the 2CT technology providing very good traction when banked over (the sides are soft compared to the middle of the tire). I rode at an easy sport touring pace, and I only have about 1/4" of a bitch stripe from the scuffed portion to the far edge of the tire. Pretty much par for the course given that I was taking things really easy on my first two outings on these new tires, building speed and lean angle very smoothly and progressively.

I'll know more once I get more miles into 'em, but so far, these tires are still a big thumbs up. :clap2:

P.S. almost forgot to mention that I came up behind a Porsche Carrera S going up Sage Canyon Road on the way home yesterday...needless to say, it was easy to place the sound of growling V4 right behind him until there was a short straight right before Nichelini Winery, then a whiff of throttle, and it was...:bolt:
