Got 'em mixed up, those are most definitely Mods, Rockers wore leather and rode motorcycles, not scooters. Or was that a reference to the "rocker" Billy Idol?

H'mm I read it as OOTV naming Duccmann a "Rocker" and as we all ride motorcycles here that's no bad thing.

BINGO! It's also a take on a Bill Hicks comedy bit. "Looks like we got ourselves a reader!" For some reason Fj12 seems to miss my humor. :(

Pretty soon we'll have nothing but automatic transmission vehicles. Guess the world can use more lesbians!

A friend has one, in the form or a monster motor home, basically a stretched semi chassis underneath.
Is essentially a 10-speed manual, but there are only 2 pedals. The clutch activation and gear changes are all controlled by servos, electronics, and computer.
It is a Meritor system. He says that it works OK, except that it feels rough and abrupt, particularly starting and stopping. He is an excellent driver, an no doubt could work it more smoothly. But the Meritor and one other system that he considered inferior were the only options.
On a positive note, setups like his will save clutches and gearboxes from the torture that would otherwise be inflicted by ham-fisted, unskilled operators.
