Pure luck... I had been looking at it on the net for ages and decided to go in to my local dealer just to ask about it and there it was...!!!

I gave the saleman a deposit then and there and went straight to the bank!!

    Happy too :)

Kingsley forgot to mention that the Canadian bikes have a metric horn so you will have to have that changed to imperial sounds. BTW. Presently there is a brand new 09 skunk on the showroom floor at my local dealer in Chilliwack, BC

Try these links. The first is for Auto Trader in Ontario.
The second is for Ebay. Just what you want in colour complete with a tank cover. Yes there is a "u" in colour in Canada. Makes the colors more robust and able to withstand winter road salt.
The US dollar is not doing well against the CDN. See what we have to pay for six or seven months.

of course, those of you mouth-watering over this color scheme could just buy a used 6th gen for a great price and strip it and take it to a reliable painter... You'd still come in under the Canadian price I'm sure... Especially with business for body men and painters as slow as it is now. I have read that wheels are getting powder coats for under $100, add the frame for 100-200 (just guessing) and get all the paint work done for what a grand tops... There ya go...poof... same paint and probably still $4000 under the Canada price...

yeah i dont understand why you wouldnt just get the bike painted.
i had mine done last year when i first heard of that color scheme.
its kind of nice having a oem paint scheme that you never see in the states.

I have taken the pillion pegs off and pillion grab rails and it looks the goods, should have a tri colour bagster setup on Wednesday so I'll post a pic of what it looks like.. I'm still undecided between leo's or tunes.
I like the look of the black pipes hoblick but you have fallen short not having white rims !!

yeah it looks real good. now you just need to get that frame done and no one would know that you didn't pay to get the expensive import. Your track bike (in your sig) threw me off for a minute I thought it was the same back on the other side and I was thinking wait a minute here...

Well, I'm going to resurrect this thread...

The current colours available in Australia are officially listed as Sword Silver or Candy Glory Red. However...if you ask nicely (and wave lots of cash around) dealers can still get you a brand new white/black model.
    I ordered mine on Tuesday.

That is a great color scheme. We never got it here in the US, but Canada did. How is it that your dealer can get it?

Honda Australia still has them in stock. (Or so I'm told.)

The funny thing is, most dealers don't have them and don't realise they can get them until they call Honda and ask. I know one dealer in the Sydney area who keeps ordering them in because people will travel from all over the State to get a "skunk".

When I ordered mine in June, I was told choice of either Silver or Red, Saleswomen said there was a wait for the Silver, but she said White & Black one available. Everyone loves the colour & it pulls looks & comments every where. My only gripe & be aware, the black paint on top of the tank is very soft, gets fine scratches very easily, it definitely needed a few more coats of clear. And its only the black on the tank, fine on other parts of the bike. Thought about getting a tank cover (like Bagstar), but who wants to cover that colour.
Dealership where I got it, ordered their own B&W to put on the floor.

That's good to know, Pacemaker. I might take mine straight to a local spraypainter and get a couple of extra clear coats put on.
