Looking for the 2009 Black & White VFR 800

I know that US bikes can only be brought into canada if the are used;so it might be the same to bring a canadian bike to the states.

 

I briefly looked into importing a US bike a couple of years ago. It didn't matter if it was used or new.

Anything is possible.
Have you see our canadian prices? MSRP 14,699 = abt. 11,760 US today.

This guy could export the canadian black/white but there's gonna be some paperwork, like:
Export from Canada paperwork
Import to US paperwork
Letter of no -recall from Manufacturer
Paying GST (5%) in Canada (and applying to get it back because you're not a resident)
Import Vehicle inspection (bunch of BS to see if the horn works, has turn signals, licence plate lights,etc.)
Possible import duty because it's made in Japan and not part of NAFTA
And I'm sure there's more.

But if you got the time and money...

 

Kingsley is right my bike is a us model was new out the box but registered as used with 90km
there is always a way but with can $ in the crapper it doesn't look so good for Canadians now. seems most of us Honda dealer close to boarder will not sell to Canadians. in Portland they dont seem to mind apparently.

should be aware there is warranty issues with Canadians owning us bikes from new you will not get warranty work done in Canada and even if you take it down south they could make it difficult for you. I never had any warranty work luckily. however I did have recall work done in Canada a few local dealers would not do it (more paper work)did eventually find one that had no problems with it.

 

To all that are wondering I have proof positive if you wish to purchase the White and Black colour scheme come north to Canada! I was at my dealer today picking up some stuff for my VFR! He told only in Canada, Europe and Japan! With limited time available in Australia! If any help or info you need to order one, I can hook you guys up with my local Honda Dealer here in Ottawa I know the General Sales Manager really good! Remember though buying in Canada you might not have a warranty in the US! (you'll have to look into it)

did anybody tought about just buying the plastic and changing the one you have ?... shold be doable on 05-09 models.

 

You'd need the tank too, but in addition, it has a black frame. As far as I know, the '07 RWB is the only 6th Gen with a black frame. It is doable though.

 

2009 B&W just released in South Africa and totally mouthwatering. Trust Honda marketing to squeeze another year out of the Gen 6. Burgundy and Silver models with black frame also available here. The other half has emphatically shot down my idea to trade my '07 Black (with gold flakes) on the B&W. At least my Black becomes something of a collectible. :biggrin:

 

Actually, I think the white would be much easier to keep clean than a black one. For those of us that have had black bikes and cars, wouldn't you say this is true?

I just purchased mine and I should have it in the next couple of days. I too fell in love with this bike and didn't hesitate buying it. I ordered it in the white and black from Honda Canada and they confirmed this color is only available in Canada and Europe. I am sorry to say that if you want this bike, you will have to make the trip north to buy it here. I hope this information helps you and you can go to honda.ca to get more info on dealers in Canada with this exact bike.

Yeah, those are nice, I think they are 3-D like the Euro badges, tried service honda but thay don't list them yet.

Either that or you should be able to order the plastics/ tank etc for the 09 in the white/ black/ silver color scheme, or do what I intend on doing... paint mine to match...

that bike makes me want to do a plastics swap! I had thought about a frankenviffer with a cbr front and 6th gen tail but might as well keep it viffer and just update

 

2006 was an all pearl white version.

 

White one coming to sydney city motorcycles at Lane Cove next week.....!
