image.jpg Most of the rear clean. Sonic bathed the coolant tank. Time for wheel polish. Rear sets made in Japan. Fancy. They are actually pretty trick. You can adjust the angle on the foot peg. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Ahh. About those. They came as a combo deal..in a way. The RVF was under described by the owner and sold through Iconic. Iconic felt terrible so they hooked me up with a bunch of expensive parts. When I picked up the bike I was like "Tell me about your vfr400 in the corner". It came from South Africa, has some miles, but it was cheap, has good compression, ran before shipped. It is all original and in really nice shape. I ordered up the insulators for the carbs yesterday and it is next on the bench once the '86 750 is completed. I hope to make it a track day bike or just a nice beginner for my son.
Because the RVF was a little shady, I rebuilt using the Tyga NC30 GRP.

And thus I have too many bikes. :)

Are we using 10mm, 12mm or 7/16” fuel hose from the fuel tank? I used 7/16” on big red but I remember having a little leaking issue. Maybe I am confusing bikes.

Got the rear put back together. Polished out the wheel and cleaned the chain, swing arm, completely removed the inner fender cleaned up the rear sets. Found the owners manual. It was so dusty I didn’t know it was there until it fell out. Hahaha Tool kit was still present and it had a small gift for me. A mini pair of Snap On cutters. Yeah! image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

While prepping for sale I came across some atrocious wiring. I had to rewire the reg/rec, some other yel/ grn up near all the connections and the fan ground wire. Not sure if they camped on the road and had a bbq or what. Cut and soldered new wire all around. Here is an exquisite example of the wiring. Installed new fuel hose, removed radiator and sonic bath, valve adjustments, and sprayed the radiator shield. Getting closer towards sale time. image.jpg image.jpg

I ran an oil pressure gauge plugged into that port for years, I think thats where the book says.
Ok don't laugh...remember those annoying turn siding buzzers from the 70's bikes...I had one hooked up to that oil pressure sensor circuit, no oil pressure ='s annoying buzz...
    Very nice bikes guys.
