I can ride like that not having to worry that if I dump my bike it will get sorted out at the expense of the ever generous tax payers. I wonder how may bikes he dumped and the tax payers paid for before he got that good !! Ahhh cops always looking to impress !!

Not much damage done when they fall onto the crash bars.

True, both the Hardleys and BMWs have the crash bars on front and back that protect everything on bike. I have been to several of these police rodeos around here and very impressive and fun to watch. Not only can they ride like that on BMWs but have seen them do the same on the big old Hardleys. I laughed with one officer and jokingly told him that I will think twice now about trying to run from them after watching them. In the turns, they use the rear brake and clutch at same time for balance control. One came right by where I was sitting and you could smell the burning clutch. He laughed and said after the competition, a few of the bikes would need new clutches. Below is link one of them gave me for schedule and times. Worth it to go watch them for couple hours one day.

A few things. I don't ride in town as part of my defensive driving philosophy plus I don't want to ride in town; I'm a business person that has to look the part during the day and

lastly, riding is only recreation to me, not transportation.

That's from a police motorcycle rodeo. Probably the hardest training I have done. First pick is me at a rodeo on my old Harley. Second is on my ST1300 doing high speed curve negotiation.(track day)[IMG][IMG]
