Could this be the beginning of a meaningful conversation? I don't think so. LOL

So I got my T-Rex Racing NO CUT sliders installed. Easy install, happy with their protection. Let's hope I never need them but they appear to offer enough protection to keep the plastics off the ground in the event of "horizontal parking" as someone above mentioned lol

^^^ Looks good. I see they're selling another type now with 2 mounting points on EBAY

Maybe if I had those I wouldn't still be looking for a replacement fairing and tank after laying her down...

Another way to look cool at bike nights is to go to a couple of club races or track days and scrounge up some rashed knee pucks. They can be attached with double side tape or a couple of those sticky picture hanging tapes from 3M . The pucks look enough like frame sliders to get away with some creds if the bike isn't parked too near a streetlight. If pressed for why the tropical frog leathers show no evicence of a get off the answer is that the race leathers were torn to shreds and donated to the AMA museum.

This is one of those deals that may work once or twice but any more than that unless ya go to 3-4 bike nights a week is taking a chance. Don't try this at race tracks either even in the grandstands.

I don't get it, is that rambling a joke?

While the sliders may not have completely saved my bike when I laid it down around a turn, they may have justified their cost in saving my tank or curb rash on the crank case.

A Friend of mine dropped his bike in his garage and scratched his fairing up pretty good. I decided I wanted to do something to prevent damage on a minor drop.

I did a lot of reseach and went with the R&G sliders too (came with radiator bottle, motor-mount bolt). I did have to cut a small round hole on each of the side fairings, but I took my time and it came out really good. I used Playdoh on the inside of the fairing, pushed the motor-mount bolt through to make an impression, and then cut the hold where indicated.

The sliders come off easily enough if you want to take the fairings off for any reason.

Frame sliders are great insurance. A laydown of even a couple of mph can cost many pesos to fix. All the pesos in the world can't fix SOW.

This is correct-sliders save money and looks-my biggest drop almost a crash, 10mph or more
saddle baggies worth $1400 act with sliders off a exit ramp, hands died: boom: That part isn't true -dough does fix my bike
see pics- I have the best vfr in my state and always getting better
My abs 2006 with 10,500+ m is a Beautify bike, and I have a lot of fun, my srt-4 turbo car set to run 179mph is built the same way
cost -running ability is stunning. vfr 800 less than 11 secs, the car is at 11 secs-top speed 179:chaingun:

I am sure that somewhere we will be able to see a timing slip showing an 11 second ET and a top end of 179mph for your car.
